BAGLAMA (SAZ) MUSIC TUITION

Baglama is a seven string (based on three string) musical instrument most popular in Kurdish and Turkish folk cultures. An instrument that is also shared across Eastern Mediterranean and Central Asia regions. The term 'Saz' is referred to a long-necked stringed instrument of the lute family, used in Turkish & Kurdish folk music and Assyrian music. It is also practiced across the Syria, Iran, Iraq, and Balkan regions.

Our aim is to bring together and teach Mesopotamian folk music in collaboration with western music. Our teaching practices incorporates a growth mindset approach. We believe that a balance between technique, creativity & theory is the key to encourage students to reach their full potential.
